Posthumous Pet Portrait.

Sweet Folly! We miss you so much.

 My daughter and her fiancé lost their English Bulldog to cancer recently. She wanted to give him a portrait as a gift. I painted this 20" x 24"  painting of Folly in oils.

Graphite, Charcoal and Chalk Portrait.

I recently completed this graphite, charcoal and conte(chalk) drawing. I was asked to draw a portrait for a bridal gift. I chose to draw it on a 16" x 20" tan charcoal art paper. I think graphite on paper is one of my favorite mediums.

My Mini Renoir Study.

My daughter came in with this tiny frame and needed something to put in it for a gift. I have always loved this floral work by Renoir, Spring Bouquet, so I painted a small pared down version with a few changes like the purple Iris.

Fuchsia Azaleas

All of the azaleas around town are fading fast. I wanted to paint the beautiful fuchsia azaleas  in our yard. I added the orange because I am loving these colors together lately.
